From freight deliveries to construction work the liftgate can be seen; an integral tool used, not just to get the job done quicker, but to ensure it is not only easier, but safer too. The benefits of a liftgate go beyond just making the on and offloading of cargo easier, through the introduction of liftgates companies have seen a reduction in workplace accidents, an increased level of safety for their staff, and an increase in the speed at which jobs can be done at.

With so many choices it may feel overwhelming at times, how do I know I’m buying from the right company? Well, don’t worry, I’ll let you in on a little secret; no choice is wrong! Each of our providers feature fantastic lifts all built to last, it’s near impossible to make the wrong choice.
Which Liftgate Works the Best for me?
With such a wide variety of choices it can become difficult to figure out which liftgate is the best pick, but thankfully we’re here to help you narrow down to exactly what you need!
- Pickup and Service Body Liftgates – Sometimes we find ourselves not needing a super fancy custom truck, there comes times when a project is smaller and more personal, and because of that something like a factory new truck can do the job just fine, but even when that truck can get jobs done so easily, there comes times when even it can cause issues. At home projects can be done with a regular truck bed, there’s no doubt about it, but there comes times when we bite off just a bit more than we can chew. We’ve all been there, taking on a project that proves to be just a bit more difficult then you expected, the materials you got are heavier, you can’t be lifting this out of the truck all on your own!Â
That’s where something like a pickup liftgate comes into play. Replacing the tailgate of your truck, a pickup liftgate is built for the everyday project. Allowing us to more efficiently and safely move materials from the back of our factory new truck to wherever it needs to be. These liftgates may not be as commonly seen out in the wild, but even despite that they prove to be an incredible tool that can make any number of projects exponentially easier.
Now, some of us do look at a brand new truck and realize that it is going to be seeing much more work than just home projects. Maybe you’re a contractor, a landscaper, or even a plumber or electrician. If you work in the trades you know the benefits that a service body can give you, of course you do that’s why you have one after all. Now, a service body completely on its own is already a savior in the world of trade work, but there may come that time that it isn’t the only benefit you’ll need for your work. Much like with home projects, a liftgate can take your jobs from easy to effortless, simply by making the moving of equipment just that bit easier. Will it completely install those pipes for you with no added hassle? Sadly, I can’t say it will, but you will be getting your work done quicker, safer, and with much less effort needed.
- Flatbed/Van Liftgates –Â Anyone who runs a larger company delving into the world of deliveries should be well aware of these types of liftgates, flatbed lifts are most commonly seen on, you guessed it, flatbed trucks. Any type from box to straight trucks is likely to feature some type of liftgate at the back of it all, and alongside that comes van liftgates too, many delivery vans, especially for larger companies tend to feature these liftgates as a way to quicken the delivery process.Â
The benefits that come from investing in a flatbed or van liftgate are immense compared to any drawbacks that they may have, which are very much so few and far between. Flatbed trucks and vans are often used for larger deliveries, think pallets of items, large industrial units, fridges and freezers, AC units, the list goes on and on. While many times these trucks are able to back up to loading bays and easily wheel out any cargo there does come times when the location being delivered to may not have a loading bay, places like a customer’s home or a construction site. Now, I know what you may say, “Well if I have a forklift on site then I can just pull out whatever is being delivered with that!” And to that, I say you are correct, but not every place has a forklift at the ready. Sure, most construction sites will have a few around, but let’s say you need to deliver a fridge to a customer’s home, the chances of that customer having a forklift, while not zero, are very low; at places like these a liftgate becomes greatly beneficial as it helps to not just reduce how many tools are needed to move the delivery, but it also allows more work to get done quicker as less time is spent attempting to both unload and load your cargo.
