The Lever Style Chain Binder is a very simple machine with few moving parts. The moving parts it does have are designed to give you a quick, strong, and durable tie down tensioning device that can handle a working load limit of 6,600 Lbs. / 3,000 Kgs. with chain sizes 5/16 inch to 3/8 inch.
To begin with, one of the primary parts of the Lever Style Chain Binder is the lever. This formed steel handle offers you maximum leverage for a strong tie down. With a firm push, the lever takes up the slack by pulling on the hooks, locking in place after a 180-degree rotation around the hinge. Its job is to create the tension that ties down your load.
Working together with the lever to give you the right amount of tension is a pair of 3/8-inch Clevis Grab Hooks made from a forged alloy steel and coated in a zinc plated finish for optimal durability. These hooks easily slip onto the chains for a strong, non-slip grip and remain firmly attached after the lever tightens the chains over the load.
